Cops give away goodies to the homeless from stolen Krispy Kreme van
While the idea that police officers love their doughnuts is one that we're all familiar with, this story shows that they sometimes share too.
This is what happened when a Krispy Kreme doughnut van was reported as stolen from Lake City in Florida.
It was later in in the day that police officers located the van almost 200 miles away in Clearwater.
As the police found the van, the store's owner offered the doughnuts to them as a thank you.
While they did keep a few of them for themselves as an, the force gave the rest of the cargo to Clearwater’s homeless population.
The Clearwater Police Department wrote a Facebook post saying, ''there were dozens of delicious doughnuts on board the stolen van that the store manager gave to the police officers.''
It continued, ''the officers saved a few doughnuts to enjoy later and donated the rest to the homeless feeding that takes place adjacent to the police station each night.”
How wonderful – an act of generosity can mean so much.
