Can you guess why this child is lying motionless on the pavement?
Twitter user SparkyRoar walked out of a Target recently, to a scene that left her a little baffled.
Right there on the cold, hard pavement lay a young boy.
It was about "5°F" (-15°C) and the boy was "motionless" on the ground.
Curious about what was going on, she asked the father, who was standing beside the child, what was going on.
I walk out of Target to the scene of a child laying motionless on the ground. I asked what was wrong and the dad said
“He’s upset his gloves match his jacket.” pic.twitter.com/hYMJRbZxkf

And his response is something every parent will be able to understand.
Taking to Twitter, SparkRoar wrote:

Not surprisingly, the tweet went viral, receiving over 86,000 likes and 24,000 retweets.
And many parents were quick to relate to the situation.
My kid has done this, not for this reason or outside, but the motionless flop “I AM UPSET AND THIS IS MY NON-VIOLENT PROTEST”

Mine did when she wasn’t allowed to eat still frozen fish sticks

Here's my child. We needed to go up the next aisle in the grocery store. She didn't want to. pic.twitter.com/pavnMxWP7P

Has your little one ever had a silent protest like this?
