Bride's wedding day speech is co-parenting done right

Emily Newville was taking part in the biggest day of her life – her wedding day.

The beautiful bride was marrying the love of her life, Josh Newville, but there was something extra special about her vows.

Josh, is the father of a four-year-old boy, Gage, and Emily was aware that when marrying Josh, she was about to be married to Gage too.

So, when the time came for the bride to say her vows, the congregation were blown away by the beautiful vows Emily shared with her stepson too.

The caring stepmum read her handwritten vows to Gage, who was overcome with emotion, crying when embracing his new stepmum as she stated:

"I know we will butt heads, but I hope that with all my heart you will become a grown man and understand my methods and know that I have only done what is best for you and I love you."

"I may not have given you the gift of life, but life surely gave me the gift of you."

In a video shared by ABC, the raw emotion and happiness of the wedding party is captured, while Gage's mum even compliments how Emily is an important figure in her son's life, and she couldn't be happier.

As Gage is clearly taken aback, his stepmum lifts him up, carrying him on her side for the remainder of the wedding, and we are absolutely bawling.

This is co-parenting done to perfection – we just can't cope.
