Brave 10-year-old saves his baby brother's life when his mum goes into labour at home
What an incredibly brave boy.
Ashly Moreau, from Louisiana, was 34 weeks pregnant when she suddenly went into labour. At home. With only her ten-year-old son for help.
However, young Jayden stepped up to the plate not only helping to deliver his brother but also saving his life.
Ashly, who was expecting her third baby, was shocked when her waters broke six weeks before her due date, and rushed to the bathroom.
When Jayden went in to help his mum he could see his baby brother's feet hanging out.
He was breech and the young boy ran to his grandmother's for help.
Unfortunately, his granny was recovering from surgery and couldn't assist, but she called 911.
In the meantime, Jayden ran back to his mum, and, according to KPLC, simply asked what needed to be done.
"When he got to the bathroom, he just took a deep breath and said: 'OK, Mom, just tell me what I need to do'."
Explaining how her baby was in breech, Ashly instructed Jayden to pull his brother out by the legs.
Frighteningly, when Daxx was born he wasn't breathing, so quick-thinking Jayden found a nasal aspirator in the kitchen and cleared his brother's nose.
Thankfully, emergency services arrived not long after and Moreau and Daxx were taken to hospital where they are said to be doing well.
Talking about her son's brave actions, Ashly called him her hero, and were totally agree with her – he really is a hero.
