Boy received very special stuffed toy after his mother suddenly passes away

 Antonio Vargas Jnr., from Florida, received a toy monkey for Christmas, he thought it was a joke. 

 “At first, I thought it was a prank. Because they always used to call me their little monkey,” he told local media. 

But squeezing the monkey, he heard a special sound that he thought was lost to him forever, his mother's voice. 

His mother, Johanna, had passed away suddenly over the summer. Antonio's father had saved voice messages from Johanna, and put the recordings into the stuffed monkey. 

“I just want to speak to Antonio, and tell him that mummy loves him!” the voice box says. 

“I was able to cut some pieces out and put it in the bear, so he's able to hear his mother again,” his father, Antonio Snr. said.

He continued to say that hearing her voice again was an emotional moments for them both: 

“It was really touching because when I was getting everything prepared, it was emotional for me. I knew when he was going to open it, it was going to be emotional, too.”

The boy was overwhelmed with emotion to hear his mother speak again. “I gave him a big hug, said I love him.”

He now gives the monkey a squeeze every night before falling asleep , just to hear that his mother will always love him. 

“Even though she's gone, she's still here.”
