Book review: How do you do, Mr Gnu? by Billy Coughlan
Looking to add to your child's ever-growing book collection? Then Billy Coughlan's new book, How do you do, Mr Gnu? should be right up your alley.
Mr Gnu has been invited to have tea with the Queen, but he is worried his manners aren't up to scratch.
So he hops on a train to London and starts practising.
First he asks a granny 'how do you do?', then a dog, a raven and even a fish.
Each time he learns new manners and puts them to the test.
Hoping to brush up on his etiquette, instead Gnu picks up some rather strange mannerisms on his way to the palace.
And when he does finally meet the Queen, he has plenty of hilarious manners in his repertoire.
Colourful, hilarious and suitable for young readers, if we had to describe How do you do, Mr Gnu? in one word, it would have to be FUN.
Written by Billy with illustrations by Maddie Frost, it is suitable for younger readers.
Published by Maverick, it will be available from April 6th 2017.
