Best friends who have been through EVERYTHING together mark wedding in the BEST way
A best friend can make life so much better. Throughout the ups and downs, they are your biggest cheerleader; the one who always provides a shoulder to cry on.
Two people who can well and truly attest to this are Rebecca Foster, who recently got married, and her bestie, Sharilyn Wester.
The pair reached out to Love What Matters, to share a selection of hilarious photos from Rebecca’s wedding. In them, while Rebecca and groom James pose formally for the cameras, Sharilyn can be seen pulling faces and messing about under the veil!
While the photos are certainly lol-worthy, they are representative of a strong bond that has seen the best friends through thick and thin.
“She’s seen me through marriage, miscarriage, the birth of my daughter (who calls her Auntie). We decided we wanted to do something silly and memorable that really represents our friendship,” explained bridesmaid Sharilyn.
For Rebecca, she couldn’t imagine a more appropriate scene for her wedding photos than Sharilyn ‘making grunting and mooing sounds’ in the background! Indeed, Sharilyn has been just as comforting a tonic for her.
“Through all the heavy stuff in life, she’s the laughter I need. She really is another part of me!” she told Love What Matters.
“If I’m ever having a bad day, I know I can count on her to turn it around. She’s been there through some of the best and worst times of my life.
“She’s not just my best friend; she’s my sister. I’m so grateful we got to share our moment for the rest of our lives.”
As unique as the wedding photos were, they prompted dozens of others to share their own similar stories and sentiments towards their best friends.
“My sister got married this weekend. When it was time to kiss the bride, she turned to me and acted like she was going to plant one. After a chaotic morning, it was the laugh we all needed,” one follower of the page wrote.
“We didn’t do this, but there is a picture of everyone laughing as I put on your garter (because you kicked me in the hoo-ha), and another where I’m secretly squatting down under your dress in the pouring rain. LOL, love you,” another woman wrote, tagging her bestie.
“This would have been me and my BF4L (best friend for life), but I was too far along with my second pregnancy to travel to Cali from CO for a wedding… It still breaks my heart,” another lamented.
We love this hilarious insight into how powerful and meaningful a true friendship can be.
