'Balls Voyage': mum throws vasectomy party for husband and we love it
Facebook is full of parent's sharing firsts- first Christmases, first birthdays, first days at school.
But Kimberly Hemperly, from Washington, took celebrating milestones to a whole other level.
After two children, she and her husband decided that it was time to call it quits on baby-making.
So she throw a surprise going away party for his, ahem, little swimmers.
"We have an announcement to make!" Kimberly wrote on Facebook for the celebrations.
"We are thrilled to say we will NOT be adding anymore tiny humans to our family! My husband is taking one for the team and to celebrate this momentous occasion I felt the need to throw him a little “Balls Voyage” party for his upcoming procedure."
Speaking to Scarymommy, Kimberly said that they made the mutual decision to not have any more children after their second was born in July:
“After our second came along in July, we decided we were done. And I had two c-sections so he volunteered to go under the knife so I wouldn't have to again.”
Kimberly decided to really go balls-to-the-wall (excuse the pun) for the shindig. Combing the supermarket for anything vaguely sausage related, employing a friend to help her make a hilarious cake, and even making custom T-shirts.
“The majority of the feedback has been great,” she said. ” And that’s what I was going for. I just wanted to show some support to my amazing husband for going through with such a selfless act.”
I'm sorry, but can we get #snipsniphooray trending please?
