Aeroplane makes emergency landing... but have now given free flights to a baby for life
Passengers flying from Fort Lauderdale to Dallas were left stunned when their flight had to make an emergency landing in New Orleans.
However, when they realised the reason they had to land so quickly, they were overjoyed to be treated to a rare sighting.
Mum-of-two, Cristina Penton, was 36-weeks pregnant and had gone into labour with her third baby just 30 minutes into the flight.
The baby, who was named as Christoph Lezcano, was delivered by a paediatrician and nurse who were luckily on the same flight.
Sitting behind the mum on the plane was passenger, Shelley Hedgecock Starks, who captured the moment the newborn made it into his mum’s arms.
And not alone that but she also captured Cristina's eldest daughter who was casually sitting by her side the entire time.
Born a healthy seven pounds on board the aircraft, Christoph will now receive free flights on his birthday for the rest of his life due the fact aircraft births are quite rare, according to the Miami Herald.
We have a feeling there'll be a lot of heavily pregnant ladies boarding flights after this… come on, free flights? We know you've at least given it a five second thought.
