Breastfeeding mum receives a card from a stranger... and starts crying when she reads it

Sitting in a park breastfeeding her child, oblivious to the woman watching her, Susanna Conti McDonald was more than surprised when the stranger approached her.

Susanna was breastfeeding her two-year-old at an outdoor playgroup in Australia, when the woman came up to the mum and handed her a purple card.

The title of the card read: “Thank you for breastfeeding in public.”

Susanna thanked the stranger, and placed the card in her handbag.

Later though, the mum took the card back out to have a read of the fine print, and admits to having tears in her eyes when she realised what it stated:

“You are not only providing your little one with the world's healthiest, love-infused baby food, but by doing so in public, you are normalising it for other mothers who otherwise might feel too shy.”

Posting a photo of the card online with the caption ‘Thank you random mum for making my day!’, it continues: “Thanks to women like you, hopefully we can look to a future where all babies can be fed anywhere, anytime, and without shame!”

And when turning it to the opposite side the card adopts a 'pay it forward' style approach: "You're doing an amazing job."

"Keep this card for yourself to read whenever you need a boost of confidence, or pass it on to another brave mum. It might just make her day!"

Isn’t this beautiful? Has anyone ever told you how amazing you are for being the best mum whether you breastfeed or bottle feed?
