Model gives perfect response after criticism of her baby bump

Last weekend, the internet found an unusual subject of focus and controversy – a model’s baby bump.

Model Sarah Stage, who is eight months pregnant, drew plenty of commentary after sharing photos of her small baby bump on social media.

While some praised the model for appearing to stay fit and healthy during her pregnancy, others just ended up body-shaming Stage over the size of her bump.

Plenty of people, including celebrities, have had their say on the subject, and now finally, we are hearing from Stage herself.

The beautiful model has spoken out in defence of her photos, delivering a wonderful reply to those scrutinising her: “As long as the baby is healthy, I don’t think anything else matters. That should be the most important thing.”

Stage made the comments during an appearance on Good Morning America, adding that she was completely taken aback by the nature of some of the comments she received.

“I don’t know how someone could say something like that to a pregnant woman. I think that is so rude. My baby is healthy and we are happy,” she added.

Stage revealed that she has gained about 20 pounds so far during her pregnancy, which ABC News’ medical expert Jennifer Ashton confirming that this was exactly where she needs to be.

We hope that Stage’s comments will not only put an end to scrutiny of her photos, but will also prevent a similar situation occurring for another mum-to-be.
