Stars help launch 'Give It Up For Crumlin' campaign
Irish rugby star Johnny Sexton and SKY Sports presenter Rachel Wyse were on hand today to help launch the ‘Give It Up For Crumlin’ campaign, to raise much-needed funds for Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin and the National Children’s Research Centre.
Aided by hospital patients Jaden and Aoife, the stars unveiled the inaugural campaign, which asks members of the public to ‘Give Something Up’ for the next 40 days, to raise much-needed funds for equipment and research.
Whether it’s your morning latte or even just gossiping in the office, making even a small sacrifice will mean a very big difference for the children benefiting from this fundraising campaign.
All money raised will go towards new projects and cutting-edge equipment at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin as well as pioneering paediatric medical research at the National Children’s Research Centre.
Commenting on the campaign, presenter Rachel Wyse said: “There were so many things I could have given up for such a good cause. It’s such a humbling experience to meet some of the children at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin today – so many of them have had to give up so much in relation to their health. It seems such a small gesture to give up anything to help raise money.”
Donations are at the public’s discretion and all gestures at giving up are welcome – simply log on to www.giveitup.ie today to get behind this fantastic cause.
