Viral photo shows Princess Diana 'attending' Charlotte's christening

Throughout her lifetime, Princess Diana touched the hearts and lives of people are over the world, and many were delighted to see her memory being kept alive in the Duke and Duchess’ choice of name for their own little princess.

Now, a Facebook user has taken this to extremes by creating an image of Princess Diana ‘attending’ her granddaughter’s christening, and pushing it to go viral around the world.

The image is a Photoshopped snap taken from the July ceremony, showing Kate Middleton cooing over her youngest tot. A shot of Diana – taken from an image from her meeting with Mother Teresa – has been added to the picture, showing her gushing over the three-month-old.

Sharing the post to Facebook, Wisconsin woman Mary Kohnke wrote: “What a great job at photoshopping…Let’s make this go viral!”

The image has already received plenty of attention online, being shared hundreds of thousands of times and getting a mixed review from social media users.

This isn’t the first time such an image has been created and sent out online. A photo from the day Charlotte was born was photoshopped to feature Princess Diana and the Queen Mother looking down on William and Kate as they stood outside the steps of St Mary’s.
