Grandmother taken into custody following unusual request

Well this is definitely not something you hear every day. 

99-year-old Annie was recently arrested and taken into custody following an unusual request from her niece. 

The grandmother, who is from the Netherlands, has been ticking things off her bucket list, one of which involved being arrested and taken into police custody – which officers at Nijmegen-Zuid were happy to do. 

According to a Facebook post, Annie, who is as clean as they come, was allowed to sit in the cell for as long as she wanted, and she was clearly having a blast. 

So how did this all come about? 

Well, while reporting a crime, Annie's niece told officers about the bucket list, and they decided that "it would be nice to do something special" for her.

Grinning from ear-to-ear, it's hard not smile as you look at the tiny lady handcuffed to a chair – clearly delighted with life.
