9 reasons the kids LOVE going to Grandma's house (no, they're not just going for the €5)
If your kids are anything like ours, they love going to their grandparents' house.
Whether it's for a sleepover (yes please) or just for a few hours, they'll jump at the chance to pop into Granny's to say 'hi' or, you know, get a small cash injection into their pockets.
But that's not the only reason your little one loves Granny's, right?
We've got nine more below that you'll no doubt find yourself nodding along to.
1. In Granny's house, the telly is theirs for the taking
There's no boring Coronation Street or Dermont Bannon on her TV.
2. Granny has an endless supply of orange juice
You know the kind you have banned from the house so the kids can only drink water now…
3. Granny doesn't care that there are tiny plastic horses thrown around the living room
Because she knows you'll tidy up when you come to collect the kids… win-win for both of them (not so much you).
4. Granny's house is nice and quiet
There's just a pleasant silence – not like the mad house they've no doubt come from.
5. Granny lets them stay up way past their bedtime
Because she doesn't get to see them enough (or have to deal with the consequences the following day).
6. Granny doesn't read books…
Granny talks about how things were when she was a little girl instead, and the kids love it.
7. Granny likes to pile the bed with pillows and throws
And doesn't care when they are thrown on the floor at bedtime.
8. Granny likes to say: "Ah sure, they're only kids"
Usually when you tell them to help your mum around the house.
9. Granny has a dog
And you refuse to indulge the kids by getting one…
Does your little one love going to your mum's house?
