85-year-old McDonald's employee gets $95,000 in donations after tragedy
Wendall Gill has been working as a McDonald's employee for 40 years.
And the 85-year-old suffered a tragedy when his wife died in the restaurant that he'd worked in for all of those years.
Wendall's wife Della had lunch in the fast-food chain two months ago when they were running errands.
Sadly, she suffered an aneurysm and passed away while in the bathroom.
Wendall had spent four decades cleaning the restrooms and taking out the rubbish, and it as also where he met his friend Todd Oldfield.
Todd, who is a former McDonald's employee, said that Wendall was devastated by his wife's passing.
He said, ''when he walked up I could tell he was just destroyed, and he said "I lost my wife.''
He continued, ''Della was his swan; his soul. Wendall is devastated; lost; totally empty now. Nothing is left.''

With Della's passing, Wendall must take care of his two adult grandsons, who have special needs.
To help him out, Todd set up a GoFundMe page for him, and so far it has raised nearly $100,000.
This money will go towards paying off Wendall's vehicles and other outstanding debts.
Todd said that ''Wendall has to keep working right there in the store, walking past this restroom. This memory of what happened in there will never leave him I fear. And, he cannot leave the store. He has no money. He has to keep going…he has to keep strong.''
Todd hopes that the fundraiser means that Wendall will be able to retire.
Keep strong Wendall, your wife would be so proud of you.
