8-year-old's gas short story goes viral..because it stinks

American comedian Patton Oswalt definitely has passed on his funny genetics.

The funnyman, famous for his roles in The King of Queens and Marvel Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, recently shared a fantastic piece of writing. Except it wasn't his own.

His eight-year-old daughter, Alice has written a gas story- about a place called Fart Land.

Which is about farting of course, or rather people who fart.

"My daughter wrote this today" Patton shared. "Gonna submit it to the New Yorker's SHOUTS AND MURMURS section."

The piece entitled Fart Land is the next best-seller in the making.

“Fart land is a land where people who fart a lot get sent to," she writes. "You are one of those people. So you will be sent there. Your friends can visit. Not to worry. You will have a great time. At first it seems sad. But every single person like it not one but Mia. You don’t need to worry about her. You home is 3249 sticky drive. Have fun!”

We love the fairytale of flatulence, and so does the Internet:

We have a feeling this is not the last thing this girl will publish, with some tweeter users crying out for "Fartland: The Movie" already.

That's one gas tale. We wait with our noses held for the next stinky instalment!
