8 ways to keep the kids entertained on an airplane

We all know how boring a long flight can be for our kids, and after the first hour or so they start to get pretty restless!

Well, fear not mums… we have a few fun and simple ways to keep your little ones entertained on a plane…

1. Cook up a mock campsite for a favourite doll or toy with anything on hand or whatever you can score from the airhostess!(napkin tent, coffee stirrer firepit etc.) 

2. Retell a classic fairy-tale story with finger puppets (or sock puppets!)

3. Make necklaces and bracelets with paper clips, and even add beads for more silly pizzazz.

4. Play dress-up on the plane with a small bag of old necklaces, bracelets, scarves and sunnies.

5. Surprise your child on the plane with colouring books of their favourite characters. Just print them directly from glorious Google. 

6. Pop a favourite (or even better, new) DVD into your portable DVD player.

7. Play card games like Uno or make your own trading cards (Pokemon who?)

8. Spy on row 32 with a magnifying glass, binoculars and a notebook
