5-year-old boy battling cancer has his dream come true on his birthday
Matteo Papa from Ontario recently celebrated his fifth birthday.
The young boy is currently being treated for leukaemia and has about 18 months left until his is finished his treatment, so everyone wanted to make it extra special.
And, boy, was it special!

Matteo dreams of becoming a firefighter one day, and when firefighters in his hometown of Vaughan heard this, they gave him a gift that he is sure to hold dear for the rest of his life.

Vaughan Fire Chief Larry Bentley invited the five-year-old to his department for the day; he also gave the youngster his very own uniform and helmet.
"I had a couple of tears there for a minute. It’s a special day for us to give back to the community and to Matteo," Larry Bentley, Vaughan Fire Chief told CTV News Toronto.
